Best.Energy Kenya participated in the Nairobi Climate Talks 2026, hosted at the German Ambassador’s Residence in Nairobi, contributing to discussions on “Energy Efficiency and Industrial Decarbonisation in Kenya” alongside senior government representatives, industry leaders, and technology providers.
The event brought together key stakeholders from both Kenya and Germany, including H.E. Sebastian Groth, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kenya, and Dr. Eng. Fenwicks Musonye, Deputy Director for Energy Efficiency at the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).
Organised through a partnership between the German Embassy in Kenya and AHK Eastern Africa, the Nairobi Climate Talks focused on practical pathways for reducing industrial energy consumption, improving operational efficiency, and accelerating Kenya’s transition toward low-carbon manufacturing.
Representing Best.Energy, Faraaz Charania (CEO of Best.Energy Kenya) attended and participated in discussions centred around industrial energy optimisation, real-time monitoring technologies, and operational decarbonisation strategies for Kenyan industry.

As part of the event programme, Best.Energy presented a case study titled “Energy Optimisation in Processing: LSG Sky Chefs Kenya”, showcasing how granular, real-time energy monitoring and intelligent refrigeration optimisation can support measurable operational savings and improved sustainability performance.
The presentation highlighted how industrial facilities are increasingly facing three key pressures: rising energy costs, operational risk, and growing decarbonisation requirements. Best.Energy demonstrated how technologies such as IoT-enabled monitoring, AI-supported analytics, and asset-level visibility can help organisations identify hidden energy waste, improve operational resilience, and reduce emissions.
The event also facilitated collaborative breakout sessions focused on industrial energy efficiency, decarbonisation pathways, and building the business case for sustainable industrial investment in Kenya.

Speaking after the event, Faraaz noted:
“Kenya’s industrial sector has a significant opportunity to improve competitiveness through energy efficiency and smarter operational management. Events like the Nairobi Climate Talks are important because they bring together industry, government, and technology providers to focus on practical, scalable solutions.”
Best.Energy continues to support organisations across East Africa with advanced energy monitoring, optimisation, and Virtual Energy Management solutions designed to reduce operational costs while supporting long-term sustainability goals.
